About the presenters

Jacqui Lees

Jacqui Lees has been teaching at Pakuranga Baptist Kindergarten since 1998 and has been the kaiwhakahaere since 2001. She is passionate about children exploring the beauty and wonder of the natural environment, which led her to introduce the Outdoor Explorer sessions.

Phil Smith

Phil Smith is a multi-award-winning architect and the Founder and Director of Smith Architects, where he leads the practice’s focus on sustainable design. Smith Architects has completed over 100 early childhood centre designs in four different countries, and won 30 international and national awards to date.
