Movement and learning in early primary

This webinar explores the role movement plays in brain development and how movement prepares children cognitively, socially, emotionally, and of course, physically for the rigours of formal learning. Gill Connell (Moving Smart) is particularly focused on the foundational physical skills and behaviours children need to succeed in their learning in their first three years at school and how teachers can support their development through fun, sequential movement activities.

Gill Connell is a globally recognised child development expert, specialising in the foundations of learning through movement and play. She is co-author of the popular books A Moving Child Is a Learning Child (2013), and Move Play and Learn With Smart Steps (2016).
