Trudi Browne and Nic Rickard from Burnside School present this webinar, and discuss how a collaborative, whole school approach to oral language professional learning led to significant changes in akonga oral communication confidence and competence.

They explain the role played by Oracy Champions, how they developed poutama to show growth in tamariki oracy development and the ways that teachers used professional readings and analysis of their interactions with tamariki to increase conversation and talk across the curriculum.

A written report discussing the work being done at Burnside Primary School is available here.
