The Assessment Lead Programme enables education professionals to make their assessment approach more efficient, allowing them to make more reliable judgements about what pupils know, can do and need next.
By generating and using higher quality information on  student-learning, and better integrating assessment with curriculum and pedagogy, teaching can be more responsive to students’ needs. Spend less time producing data and gain time for refining pedagogy. This year-long programme will encourage you to rethink your approach to assessment and support you to implement change in your school.

Start date: Monday 18 October 2021

Enrolment through The Education Hub costs just NZ$2000 for two staff (additional participants can enrol for NZ$600 each). Fill in the form opposite and we will issue an invoice to your school and pass the enrolment to EBE.

Who is it for?

Any primary, intermediate or secondary school that is committed to enhancing their assessment practice.

For the programme to have the desired impact, we recommend that the senior leader responsible for assessment works with at least one middle leader (such as a head of department or syndicate). For that reason, we insist on a minimum of two colleagues working together. Additional participants can enrol at the same time for NZ$600 each.

How does it work?

All learning materials, tools, resources and support are delivered via an engaging online learning platform. However, the real learning takes place in your school; applying the theory to your individual context, using the resources, working with colleagues to design and refine your assessment processes, and generally honing your schools’ ability to harness the power of assessment.
