Dr Heidi Leeson

Dr Heidi Leeson is co-founder and Research Director at Monocle Education. She is an experienced social-emotional learning (SEL) specialist, educational psychologist, psychometrician, and evaluator who has spent her career researching the learning-related behaviours that support and enhance learners’ academic performance and overall success at school. Over the past two decades, she has worked with schools, districts, and government in Aotearoa and internationally, establishing valid and reliable approaches to measuring the ‘whole learner’, and evaluating the impact of classroom practices, school initiatives and state/national policies over the short and longer term.
