Professor Dione Healey from Otago University | Ōtākou Whakaihu Waka shares insights from her extensive research into ADHD, much of which is concerned with supporting children with ADHD through cognitive training. Dione is the creator of the ENGAGE programme which is designed to improve brain functioning and build self-regulation through games and exercise.

Professor Dione Healey

Dr Dione Healey is a professor of clinical psychology at Otago University | Ōtākou Whakaihu Waka. Her broad research area is in childhood Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). She is currently assessing the effectiveness of a novel early intervention programme that she has developed along with colleagues in New York, ENGAGE: Enhancing Neurobehavioural Gains with the Aid of Games and Exercise. The programme is focused on developing self-regulation skills in young children.
