COMING UP:
Webinar with Taylor Hughson, Jordan Tricklebank, Claudia Rozas
7.30pm (NZST) Monday September 15 , 2025
There are many considerations that English teachers take into account when choosing which texts to teach, including pedagogical, socio-cultural, and political questions, as well as a knowledge of their students and their strengths and interests. Assessment requirements and departmental priorities also shape these decisions.
In this webinar, teachers Taylor Hughson and Jordan Tricklebank, along with Claudia Rozas from the University of Auckland, will explore the many factors influencing teachers’ professional decision-making. They will also share some examples of texts they have taught throughout their careers, and how successful they were in terms of achieving their teaching and learning objectives.
A recording of this webinar will be available after the live session.
