Become a confident and effective mentor
Mentoring is one of the most rewarding ways to support the learning of fellow teachers — but great mentoring requires specialist skills and guidance. This practical online course is designed for early childhood teachers who want to develop their mentoring skills and confidently support beginning teachers, provisionally certificated teachers, or colleagues in their professional growth. It will support you to become an intentional, reflective, relational mentor with the right tools at your fingertips to support your mentee’s diverse needs.
Rather than simply learning about mentoring in theory, you’ll work alongside a real mentee throughout the course, applying each stage of the mentoring process in practice. Using a comprehensive workbook of templates, tools, and guided activities, you’ll learn how to plan, implement, and reflect on a high-quality mentoring journey.
Along the way, you’ll strengthen your ability to build trusting relationships, facilitate professional learning, gather meaningful feedback, and engage in reflective practice. By the end of the course, you’ll have developed the knowledge, skills, and confidence to become a thoughtful, intentional, and effective mentor.
