Partnerships with parents have been mostly on-line during the covid restrictions. this online is through the online portfolio portal and emails. Zoom calls can also be used.

At drop off and pick up we try to allow additional staff to be available to chat to the parent if they need to share anything with us. Sharing a quick pic of the child in play has been used alot to reassure the parent, their child did settle and is now happy. With the parent not being able to come into the centre, some parents have felt uneasy about leaving their child. Yet the settling has been easier as the child knows at drop off, it is good bye at the door and parent leaves.
A high five through the fence is also nice for the child to come into the centre and have a routine of going to the fence to give a high or another kiss before getting on with their day.
